Anthropic's revenue was $16.3 billion in the first half of 2026. That is up 1,300% in a year, its October 26 IPO filing says.

What happened

Anthropic has applied to list its Class A shares on Nasdaq under the symbol ANT. Revenue for the six months to June 30 rose from $1.2 billion a year earlier. Its operating loss narrowed to $693 million, from $2.1 billion. The net loss for the half was $80.7 billion. The filing says $72.4 billion of that came from fair-value changes. Most of those were on its convertible notes. The share price range and share count are still blank. Anthropic says it does not expect revenue to keep growing at comparable rates. Its risk factors name chip supply concentrated in Taiwan, mainly at TSMC.

  • Microsoft offers buyouts to about 60,000 employees. Microsoft confirmed the offer to TechCrunch on October 26. It covers VP level and below on select teams in four countries. Those are the US, Canada, India and the UK. CNBC says that is about 27% of its 223,000 staff. Data-centre, sales and marketing staff are excluded, TechCrunch says.
  • Meta plans about $95 billion of share sales to fund its AI build-out. Meta's October 26 SEC filings offer about $35 billion of stock and convertible preferred now. It also plans an at-the-market program of about $60 billion, with no agreement yet. Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom indicated interest in buying up to $5 billion. That interest is not binding.
  • Apple's new iPad mini gets a 2 nm A20 Pro chip. Apple says it runs AI tasks up to 4.5x faster than the previous model. The chip puts a Neural Accelerator in each of its 7 GPU cores. It starts at $699, with pre-orders on October 28 and stores on November 6.
  • Claude wrote machine-checked no-crash proofs for 123 open-source libraries. Anthropic said on October 22 that Claude proved 239 entry points never crash. They span 123 OSS-Fuzz libraries, for inputs up to 64 MB. The proofs run to about 180 million lines of Rocq. The attempt found hundreds of bugs. They hold only under stated assumptions, such as single-threaded RISC-V binaries.

Its net loss for the half was $80.7 billion. The filing ties most of it to the rising value of its convertible notes. Anthropic says it does not expect growth at this rate to continue. We think public markets will now test how long AI demand can keep this pace. Also today: Microsoft is offering buyouts to about 60,000 employees, it told TechCrunch. CNBC says that's 27% of its workforce. And Meta's filings plan about $95 billion in share sales for its AI build-out. Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom may buy up to $5 billion. That's your byte.
